Corey Drumz

I.K.E. (Iron Kladd Entertainment) is music put together by founder & CEO, Corey Drumz. Born Corey Banks, he is the youngest son of 1981 BMI Song Writer Of The Year, Larry Banks and soul singer Jaibi.
Iron Kladd Entertainment Inc. was formed out of Drumz’ frustration with many labels that had neither the capability nor the willingness to nurture its Hip Hop artists effectively. After releasing independent Mixtapes & Street LP’s under the I.K.E. umbrella Corey was introduced to FAMOUS RECORDS president Jeffrey Collins who agreed that the best way for his music and the music of many other emerging artists to reach its fullest potential was to create a vehicle dedicated to that pursuit. “IT’S BIGGER THAN ME” is the first commercial album released by I.K.E. and is now available on FAMOUS RECORDS & is distributed through the Universal digital network, worldwide on ITunes, Amazon, Rhapsody & many other digital retailers.
Growing up in a household where music came as natural as breathing, Drumz took to it like a sponge. Getting his knowledge of writing and song structure from his father and his emotional delivery and voice from his mother (Jaibi).
Drumz was offered numerous scholarships to prestigious performing arts schools by the age of 13 but turned them all down. At the age of 14, Drumz lost his mother and become more street oriented. He gave up singing and started releasing his talents through Hip Hop under the stage name CeStyle becoming one of the most respected MC's on the East Coast. At the age of 21 his father passed and shortly after, Drumz became a member of EPMD's original Hit Squad as well as MC Serch's Serchlight Mob (Nas, O.C. and CeStyle & Kamal B Wize better known as the group Total Pack). While in the group Total Pack, Drumz was signed to Columbia Records making history as being the first Hip-Hop artists to be signed to multi album deal without having a demo (the only other artist to do that before him was Janice Joplin who ironically was also signed to Columbia Records). The deal with Columbia didn't work to Drumz' advantage due to creative differences between himself and his partner at the time, Kamal B Wise, as well as a lack of guidance and attention from his label but that would not stop his growth. Today Drumz is incorporating both his singing ability and rapping skills to make a unique sound in music unmatched by any other artist.

YLS Crew - Carolina

Everyday a new hip-hop artist or group is staking claim in the music industry or proclaiming greatness. It’s not often that a group actually deserves the praise they garners from fans. Even rarer is the occasion in which a group shows the promise, potential, or raw talent that is apparent from watching the Young Lyrical Soldiers on stage, in the studio or just socializing with peers. The Young Lyrical Soldiers, formerly known as YLS has remarkably only been together for little over a year and already have solidified themselves as major staples in The Carolina teen music scene. With substance, swagger and lyrical content that speaks volumes to their name, YLS certainly will not be awaiting a lucrative recording contract for much longer.

When was the last time you heard a fresh innovative style of hip hop that really captivated you? Not something you could nod to but a song you really wanted to hear again…and again? If you’re still thinking, it’s definitely time to hear "TRUE SUN ALI". Born February 9th in Brooklyn to the late Joseph “Baby Joe” McConnell and Cynthia McDowell, TRUE SUN ALI attended the prestigious Concord Baptist Elementary school and Norman Thomas High School. He would create beats in his classroom where kids would gather around to listen to his rhymes. Soon after that, he developed his style of rap, battling on the streets of New York City and performing shows for his school as well as many other venues. His double edged style allows him to rock the casual listener’s head while simultaneously stimulating the avid listener’s thought.
In the early nineties, as a teenager, "TRUE SUN ALI" was signed to a single deal. His debut CD “Introducing True Sun Ali" received an 8 out of 10 rating on its review by a head A&R at TAXI, a renowned independent A&R company. He has also been called the “Next Brooklyn superstar” by Perry P, Hip Hop legend and radio personality at Radio 1’s 107.9 WRNB in Philadelphia. James Elam, entertainment lawyer for Musiq, Roots and Jill Scott, applauded his efforts while Docta Shock, entertainment veteran of Urban Beat Movement, says TRUE SUN ALI is just “flat out nice.” True continues to pursue his goals of being an entertainment icon by performing in, up and down the east coast while keeping his lyrical edge with numerous mixtape CD appearances. He is currently featured on mixtapes in Australia, England, Germany, Switzerland, and of course the U.S. True’s also working hard on performances, cameos with other artists and recently collaborating with Scarlight Productions, his cousin’s production company, for some of his upcoming projects. Armed with confidence and ambition, TRUE SUN ALI is well on his way to becoming hip hop’s next force to be reckoned with. 2010 he hit the world with "Brookyln in the Building" ft.Mike Beck (R.I.P), and then hit the world with "T.I.N.A" (Loyalty) which i getting heavy rotation. You can also find his video "Brookyln In The Building" featured on Forbez Dvd. The new EP titled "A Second Beginning" is out now available via internet. Now being a 2010 Underground Music Award nominee "Artist to Watch", True Sun Ali looks to bring a breath of fresh air to the music industry and the world.

JB Prince of da Piff
It began early in his life when his mother and father split, and seldomly seeing his mother would alter his life. He said " I knew I had a mother, but it felt like she was extinct." Going through that progress taking place in his life, soon would come news that he definitely didn't expect. He found out that his Grandfather John Tribbett Sr. who he referred to as "Pop-Pop" had pasted away due to cancer on June 12, 1990. During the time, even though only 6yrs. old JB would have to deal with this and more tragedies to come. "When you grow up in a hood like this your going to go through shit like this, Homies I was cracking jokes with in school, dying at early ages, it hurt to not have them here." As he got older pain would soon create motivation. Determined to not let his fallen soldiers down, he was going to carry there name on and make them proud. Whether playing sports, cracking jokes, giving his insight, or even on the music level, he excelled in whatever he did.
Growing up in the Inner City he went to a recreational program(Y.W.C.A) Where he would run into some childhood friends Pace, TP, and Cason(Picasso), Who interested him into music. "I grew up on rap that's all I know, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Krs One, Biggie, 2Pac, Snoop Doog, Dr. Dre,etc., Didn't matter long as it was rap I was listening." Here comes the Inspiration, He ran into a young enthused rap artist by the name of Glizzy, who taught him how to flow to the bar measurement. Then in 98', with JB following rap more than ever, he would become inspired by the lyrics of 2Pac and Jay-Z, both playing a major part in not only music but life. He (JB) decided to take it serious, going through turmoil, death, and anger issues, he channeled it to the notebook, beat, and soon the world. After taking this serious he bumped into a friend named Sean Hoyte, who would elevate JB's game on the Hustle Level and The Rap Level. In High School at the time (Woodrow Wilson). He hooked back up with 2 of the people who interested him in rap Cason and Glizzy.
Finally schools back in and he has created his own mixtape. JB sold over 200 copies in High School. " You got to understand I was doing this shit myself, everything from making studio arrangements, to designing my mixtape. After that the game would continue to enhance. Meeting local artist who was compassionate and just as much determined. Borne Da King, Renegade, A-Nix, Doochie Bass, Premo, Zay(E.O.S), Poppa, Dallas Troy, Traxx Trigga, Pres. Harris, Verb (Kint) Spielberg, etc. From them he learned a lot. Now JB is prepared to give his story to the world. "Everyone has a story now it's time to read mine." With his own Record Label under construction, founded by himself, prepare to hear him and his camp in the near future. Starting with a list of mixtapes. Including the 1st "THE GIFT & THE PIFF" Dropping in 2009. Through all the Trials & Tribulations.
"I Give You Me, Follow Me, We Gone Laugh, We Gone Cry, Party, and Chill. THE NEXT POTENTIAL LEADER: WORLD GET READY TO EMBRACE A PERSON LIKE YOU NEVER FELT."

Who Is T-Eazy?
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Tyrell “T-Eazy” Robinson has made a reputation
for himself from his charismatic, laid-back, and easy-going personality. Kids in
his Crown Heights community would call him Eazy because he rarely stressed
anything. However, this easy-going persona shouldn’t be mistaken for a lack of
drive or ambition. T-Eazy is a committed emcee that is destined for greatness.
He fell in love with music at an early age. He was introduced to rap by his older brother;
doing ad-libs to his brothers’ songs. By age 11 he was writing songs for other rappers.
He later bought a karaoke machine and started recording his own music. By age 14, T-
Eazy was performing. His first radio performance was on Harlem’s Dark-Fame radio.
He would battle-rap, join ciphers, and make mix-tapes for his school audience. He was
building a following.
Growing up, his mother stressed the importance of education and put young Tyrell in
quality schools. He attended private school until the 8th grade. At age 7, his parents
separated. His father left the house. This didn’t impact T-Eazy until age 14. He became
problematic in and out of school. He was arrested on several occasions. Arguments with
his mother lead to a stint of homelessness. He lived out of bags, asking friends to allow
him to spend the night. At this point he realized life was serious. T-Eazy moved back in
with his mother and became more committed to music as a career.
At age 23 he’s leading a movement that has him performing at major cities and colleges
across America. Partnering with fellow member, singer R.Notes, NG the movement is
a force to be reckoned with. Most recent, Eazy won 2nd place to his fellow NG artist
R.Notes, who won 1st place in the legendary Faces In The Crowd July 2010 showcase.
The event was held at the Times Square Arts Center in New York City. This was an
impressive victory for the NG duo. The event caught the attention of many industry
representatives.
His music covers an array of subject matters. “What I talk about is life, party vibes,
female stages, make-up, break up, forgiveness, real life situations, work, school, kids,
balancing, struggling. Keeping a roof over kids heads. Having a good time, life. Different
emotions, feelings, etc.”
His current project is the Mr. Brooklyn Bridge EP. The mixtape and single Im Fly can be
purchased on Dat Piff.com. “My favorite song has to be Eazy. That’s what I feel and how
I feel. That’s real…I try to be positive and optimistic. Even in a negative situation”. T-
Eazy understands how powerful his music is. Music is his craft. “Music is power. I want
my music to be embraced on different levels. I want to leave a strong impact.”
Kwan Ivory Lee - Brooklyn, NY
Kwan Lee is an artist out of Brooklyn, NY. He has been rapping for a long time. He is also a producer, making beats since he was 14. In the summer of 2005, he finally heard his production at a local talent showcase that was on BCAT. Up until then he never really had seen a lot of people nodding to his beats, and downplayed the idea of becoming a great producer and rapper. So after that he got focused and got better. Fast Forward to 2009. While thinking about quitting in late 2008, he turned everything around by launching his own website, his own youtube page, and finally finished his first compilation Purple Pain which featured music he produced for various artists. The mixtape got a lot of downloads online and proved to be a success. In the middle of 2009, Kwan Lee started getting interviews and producing for more artists across the United States along with making progress with his internet TV series, Kwan Lee TV, known for being where the best events were and having the best artists on there. On January 1st, 2010, Kwan Lee released his first official solo mixtape The People Vs. Kwan Lee, and is continuing to make progress in the NYC underground with music and media.
Karte M Fowler AKA "Karteezey" - Bronx, NY
In full swing quickly building his name and presence, first as a cameraman (now Assistant Director) with Video City a well respected Underground Hip-Hop video show airing on public access with a viewership of 1.5 million, Video director for Jambalaya, (The event for all Artist!) for creator and executive producer Liz Tapia. Next, branching out and retooling NANtv becoming its director, editor, and co-producer amassed a following of 2.5 million viewers in 6 months. Then he dropped the video “Not A Joke This Year” by Brooklyn Artist Wordspit, setting new standard for indie videos forcing independent directors to step up their game, skill and creativity.
Betty"Real" Cardona - Brooklyn,NY
Christina "LaLa" Rodriguez - Brooklyn, NY
Born in the L.E.S part of Manhattan known as "Alphabet City" moving to the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, Christina "LaLa" Rodriguez always had a ear for music.Growing up music was a must in the household. It made the house seem happier hearing the sweet voices of The Pointer Sisters, Lionel Richie, The Legendary Micheal Jackson along with Ms.Patti Labelle on vinyl. The records became collectibles that she still has to this day. "I loved when my grandmother would come visit because she would wake up in the morning, make breakfast and sing in an old fashioned Spanish opera manner," says LaLa. "I collected records from all over the city. The Wiz, mom and pop stores in Bushwick and L.E.S, Tower Records, Beat Street, everywhere. I still have 45's and 33's in my mom's house. I have a lot of early Hip-Hop records as well."
