WHO IS THE LEGENDARY @DJLAZYK ?
DJ Lazy K Bio
Born in Mexico daughter of a airline pilot and singer , Karina Gutierrez better known as DJ Lazy K would find herself in Europe finishing school in Geneve Switzerland before winding up in New York and falling in love with Hip- Hop. A career spanning more than a decade collaborating with industry legends and heavy hitters like The Roots, Jay Z, Mobb Deep, Ghostface Killah, Cameron/ Dipset, Nelly, Lil Kim, Jada Kiss, DJ Funk Master Flex and DJ Kay Slay just to name a few. The Beautiful, brash and talented mix- master admits that being a DJ was not something that she had originally planned to be, and getting involved in music as a career was the furthest thing from her mind....."It started out as a hobby, do to my love for graffiti and hip- hop".
Lazy K's career then unknown to her started when she began making mix tapes for her personal use and then copying a few for her friends. Before she knew it, people began requesting tapes from her on a regular basis, this growing demand made Lazy K begin to hone in on her skills. She began participating in the traditional path of DJ competitions, battles, throwing parties and moonlighting late nights at local clubs. Making the decision to jump in head first into a male-dominated field, DJ Lazy K held her own, winning the support and respect of her hard-bitten male peers with successfully battling against 28 male DJ's in a head to head competition. This let Lazy K know that hip-hop was her true calling and ever since there's been no looking back.
Formulating her own style by switching her records fast, crashing, blending and mixing so she could set herself apart from her male competition. Lazy K after winning numerous DMC competitions, began to set her sites on the mix-tape game, winning her the title of "Street Sweepers 1st Lady", this further raising the bar for all female DJs. Her resume shows that "Lazy" although that being part of her stage name’s far from that. Causing commotions in clubs around the world from New York, Miami, Boston, South Africa, Sweden, Italy and Los Angles and France just to name a few with her scratching and styling skills, have gained her multiple awards, including the "Justo mix-tape Awards" for best female DJ (four times – including her latest in 2007), "Best Female DJ" from Atlantic Records, Big Beat Records for the Mix Tape awards, first place in the Universal Zulu Nation Battle-DJ/ MC Clash. Including; being featured on MTV Jams, MTV Beat Suite with Buck and Star, BET Rap City, BET's 106 and Park. One would only wish to accomplish a fraction of that in a life time, but Lazy K did it within a decade and no intentions of slowing down
Continuing to gain mainstream exposure with the creation of the largest female movement in entertainment history Murda Mami Entertainment; The CEO Lazy K featuring Rah Digga, LaLa (Mtv Network), and Remy Martin were featured in the April/ 2005 issue of "The Source Magazine". Followed by features in ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE, DON DIVA, XXL, Allhiphop.com and breaking into the video scene with a feature in Jay-Z's "Do It Again".
Making impact in the music industry and never loosing touch with what gave her success Lazy K continues to create the hottest mix- tapes on the market. "The Reallionaire"
Rappers today often attribute some of their success to the Streets. In the case of New Orleans rapper Kidd Kidd, it is the streets that get the full credit.
Formerly known as Nutt Da Kidd, Kidd Kidd rose up through the ranks as one quarter of Sqad Up, along with his brethren Gudda, Supe and Young Yo. The group was consistent on the ever-evolving mixtape scene, saturating the streets with their projects and forging a name for themselves. Their lyrical ability had encouraged a more than positive response both collectively and
individually, so it was inevitable that a label deal would be the next step for the foursome.
It was close friend and affiliate Lil Wayne who encouraged Sqad Up to continue their progression under the Cash Money umbrella, an instrumental and influential force on the Hip-Hop scene in New Orleans. The quartet felt that all the work they had put in on the streets with their constant slew of mixtapes was about to yield a profitable return with them being exposed to a wider market.
Unfortunately things didn't go as anticipated and their affiliation with Cash Money and Lil Wayne disintegrated. But not to be deterred by negative experiences, the group and particularly Kidd Kidd used this as motivation and built upon it as a foundation.
Having grown up on Mazant Street in the city¹s Ninth Ward, Kidd Kidd has been inspired by the strength of his brothers and sisters. It was the tragedy of September 2005 when Hurricane Katrina sucked the life out of his city that forced the burgeoning wordsmith to re-evaluate his life and his position in the music industry.
Each member of Sqad Up was relocated to different cities along with their family due to the aftermath of Katrina. It was about survival now for Kidd Kidd and his family. The neglect and disruption faced by the residents of
New Orleans during this time was enough to ignite passion and an unrivalled strength within Kidd. These feelings would eventually break the surface of his music upon returning home to New Orleans.
With the weight of his city on his back, Kidd Kidd immersed himself right back into music. Determined to leave the past in the past he set about recording copious amounts of music.
Mixtapes such as The Legacy and Rida Muzik Vol 1 brought attention to Kidd Kidd and he was back performing all
over the south.
His ability to have the streets on side was never in jeopardy. And even though Sqad Up may have not inked with Cash Money, and the relationship with Lil Wayne may have not been as strong as it once was, Lil Wayne eventually re-connected with Kidd Kidd.
The two teamed up once again on the platinum selling single from Tha Carter III album, Mrs. Officer. This earned Kidd Kidd two ASCAP awards and the duo crafted more songs that garnered serious attention from both the
streets and the DJs. To some it was expected that Kidd Kidd would eventually become one of the prominent players in the Young Money squad. The media were paying close attention but the Ninth Ward native knew that he couldn't wait for someone else to make his presence felt, he had to stride forward alone.
So intent on keeping his promises to his city and himself, Kidd Kidd developed his own movement that would once again re-engage fans with reality Hip-Hop, a sound that he felt had long been forgotten having been replaced with an abundance of understated words and generic sounding production.
It was time to introduce the world to his Reallionaire Movement, which developed solid relationships with major players within the Hip-Hop world. Alliances with Sha Money XL, DJ Whoo Kid and DJ Scream encouraged Kidd Kidd to reach audiences further a field than just the USA. Mixtapes such as New Kidd on the Block and Welcome to K-Ville a.k.a Chopper
Town and videos to accompany songs such as Platinum, From Here and Fear allowed the viral buzz to gain momentum once again.
Kidd Kidd was not going to allow anyone or anything interrupt him this time.
Recognizing that the ball was in his court, he stepped up and found a home for his fledgling label with Sha Money XL and his Dream Big Ventures imprint in late 2009. With an encouraging team behind him, an unprecedented drive and his five year plan firmly laid out Kidd Kidd once again stormed the streets and internet with his 50 Cent "Better Walk" collaboration in late 2010.
Priding himself on lyrics with meaning backed with solid production, his efforts are recognized and all eyes are on him.

KNOWLEGE was born and raised in the Overbrook section of West Philadelphia. At a very young age his father introduced him to many different types of music, including jazz, blues, rock, funk, and soul. At age 11 KNOWLEGE learned how to play the guitar, by 14 he was DJing, and at 17 KNOWLEGE got his first drum machine and started making beats. He combined his musical ability, his DJing skills, and his love for hip hop, and the results are the beats you hear today. KNOWLEGE also graduated from Temple University with a degree in audio engineering.
KNOWLEGE has produced songs and/or made beats for artists from Philly, New York, South Carolina, Oakland/San Fran Bay Area, and many other areas. Including : DARQ, Chosen Ones, Amy Davis, Reeseman Kackalack, Kaboom, Young Bugz, Aris and many others.

Tywan M. Harris, the Musician/Song Writer, Business man, and Entrepreneur, known as Cashmere, has just begun to make his mark in the music industry. Starting out as many do battling he began to build recognition on the streets of East NY Brooklyn making appearances on mixtapes hosted by legendary dj’s. Amongst many, Dj Enuff was the first to believe in the potential and sound Cashmere had created in his home town. After hearing his remix to “Still Ray” by none other than Raphael Saddiq, Dj Enuff began to push Cashmere on NY’s premiere radio station, Hot 97.1. The buzz began to increase while working alongside Dj Kay Slay, who began featuring Cashmere on numerous street sweeper mixtapes, and radio appearances. Soon his name branched out to other known radio personalities including Funk Master Flex, Dj Clue, and many more. With a growing fan base record labels started to grow interest in Cashmere, but Tywan Harris the business man came into effect.
In 2003 “The Proposal” was released; (hosted by Dj Kay Slay) followed by “Me & My Music” (hosted by Mr. Cee) in 2006. Cashmere’s resume had now grown tremendously, speaking for itself. He continued to spread his name engaging in various media interviews now including magazine spreads. In one of many articles written, Michael “Ice Blue” Harris of Source magazine claimed that Cashmere is leading the charge to bring the hip hop crown back home. (Source magazine, Aug ‘04, Issue 179) In the success of his work he found that it was time to take charge; in all. Working with a select team “The Cash Administration” was organized and founded in 2006.
Cashmere was on top of his rap game proving high expectations, but grew weak to temptations of life; struggling to cross the underground border, while also responsible for providing for his family and son. In late 2007 he was faced with charges leading to time that he knew could result in a long term sentence; shattering his dreams and hard work. While waiting to be sentenced he took the time he had to reflect, and began to view his reality behind bars as a source of knowledge and inner growth. When accepted in his mind what was before him he was surprised when informed that he would be released after the longest stretch of his life. Once unchained to the world, He knew that his time was now. He no longer felt the need to live in ignorance starting a new life of righteousness. Since, he has learned firsthand what the power of a positive environment and atmosphere can do.
Acknowledging that the time taken away from his career would affect his known name, and popularity he plummeted into his work beginning new ways of promoting his name, and reclaiming his stature as one of NY’s finest. Starting with the new era of music, Cashmere soon realized that the internet would open opportunities needed to benefit the exertion of recreating his name, and introducing “The Cash Administration” to the music industry. After registering to many web sites and leaking many tracks, and videos to the public, Cashmere had recorded a single he knew would be the one to get the recognition he needed; to start his venture into the mainstream music world. It was “Birds Flyin High” that had him contemplating on an assortment of excited executives that believed in his fresh sound of storytelling lyrics, and diverse use of beats. Learning from past experiences Cashmere was no stranger to the devious hunger of potential business partners.
Cashmere decided to take a new direction with his new found energy. He took on challenges to redefine, and reintroduce himself to the world. Taking his time he examined several offers before finalizing any contracts. In early 2008 he signed a deal overseas, and began working with a new agent representing Creative Artists Japan Co. Cashmere was then put to the test when led to execute a 7day tour visiting the worlds of Japan, Singapore, and Indonesia. Cashmere had become known overseas, bringing in a high demand and motivation to start recording his debut album “Take Me Away”. With his achievements and fan base on the east coast combined with his new found fan base there was little hesitation to extend Cashmere’s contract to a worldwide deal. No time was wasted in the completion of his latest vision. Since, record labels such as Def Jam, Sony, and E1 Music have sought out to work with the talent Cashmere has to bring, but as many that have contacted him know, he is not one to settle easily.
Currently Cashmere and staff are in the process of setting up a tour hitting all major US cities. Bringing a new wave to hip hop with a new sound yet an old school vibe, many young, old, and of diverse cultures can relate to the meanings of each song. Cashmere has worked with many artists including Bun B, Big Daddy Kane, Jim Jones, Lil Boosie, Akon, Maino and a host of others while being featured on albums such as Dj Kay Slay’s “Street Sweepers vol.1”, and the follow up “Pain From The Game”. He then went on to work with Joel Ortiz on his debut album “The Brick Bodega”, as well as other well known compilations. In his music you will find that you are envisioning a story so real and full of life, revisiting a feeling you have felt, and a sound you will want to replay over and over again.

Get To Know Alexandria Arroyo
New York-native Alexandria Arroyo was made for the stage. Born on July 19, 1986 on the Lower East Side to parents of Puerto Rican descent, Alexandria spent the majority of her childhood learning the art of musical performance.
From the age of five to eleven, she studied the cello and voice at the Third Street Music School Settlement and discovered her love and passion for music. She also studied dance through the Hudson Gil Beacon Program, where she was discovered by choreographer Anthony Rodriguez who invited her to join his junior dance company La Luz. She later attended the Talented Unlimited High School on the Upper East Side, where she studied her talent of vocal performance. Being in Jazz choir Woman's choir and Concert choir made her a well rounded vocalist. She was also chosen from a select few of her class to perform back up for Whitney Houston. After graduating high school she was chosen to appear in the off broadway musical called "Love Life and Happy Endings" in Barbados.
Most recently Alexandria has been performing on the Lower East Side with other under ground artist vibeing out and expanding her fan base. Her music is fun, youthful, exciting and full of passion. Doesn't matter what age you are there's something for everyone.

NY State was born in Brooklyn, N.Y as Rashamell Smith. He resides in Brownsville Brooklyn and is also known as Ra to most people. He is of both Indian and African American decent. He grew up in a household of eight which consist of five other siblings and two parents. While schooling and growing up in his environment Rap/Hip-Hop was never of any interest, but he had some sense of inquiry about it.
In his early teenage years of growing up he listened to a variety of music and artist like Run DMC, Heavy D, Michael Jackson, Big Daddy Kane, Mariah Carey, and Luther Vandross. Later on as he got older he still enjoyed the likes of the earlier artist but the sounds of the new generation artist seemed to grasp more attention from his ear. He then started listening to the likes of Nas, Big L, Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, and Tupac which were all artist from the city which he lived.
He found Rap/Hip-Hop to be something of interest that he wanted to pursue. From 19 years of age he set out to begin his journey in music. He later teamed up with a local artist from his area and created a joint CD called Banged n Bruised which definitely caught the ear of local artist and corners. To date he has created three projects and is currently stepping up his craft and evolving as an artist. He is currently working with local grinding artist who’s music catches his ear in a way that satisfies his taste for music.
He’s one of the rare upcoming artist that has a knack to be hands on with everything he’s involved in. He’s business minded and his business insight towards this music industry is growing rapidly. He’s motivated by his cockiness, and his severity to win. With his savvy attitude, sometimes raunchy lyrics, and charismatic flow he definitely puts the stamp on reviving the city for its taste in music. He inflicts himself to be the top artist to emerge from Brownsville Brooklyn and put his area back were it once was.

Crise P (Pic) is undeniably one of the best aspiring hip hop artists to come out of New York. The thing about him is, he can make a song that fits whatever emotion you may be feeling, yet keep it gritty enough for the club and for the streets. Some of the topics that he touches on can just be too much and stir up a tear. Artistically, conceptually, and lyrically, he has it all and then some. Crise tries his best to not be like the rest, so he will recreate a whole new flow just to stand out and make the track even hotter than what it would have been. He mixes aggressiveness, wit, humor, and realness over the beat to bring the actual visuals of the song to life. Nevertheless he is probably the one that the people most fail to appreciate as an aspiring artist. It deals with people just not knowing you, so they bet against you. Crise says. I just keep it as real as I can, they'll gravitate towards me later. Knowing this Crise still makes the music for the people, with every bar being consistent. I can't give up because they don't know me, I got to give them time, I’m growing right along with them!! He exclaims. Now - Imagine not eating for a few days, and then you finally get a meal. That is the state of Hip Hop for the artist known as Crise P.
Born and raised in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York, in a single parent household. ”Growing up, music is all I had”. Crise stayed in trouble, to the point where his mother had to move him out of the state. “I'm glad he moved away when he did, he found a better outlook on life, and his music got much better" says friend and Hip Hop Project alum Live Wire. Crise P his first mix tape titled “CROWNTOWN CRISE (the mixtape)” in September of 09, the music was beyond good, but due to graphic related issues the reviews were not garnered the way he expected. He continued to make music, but was not comfortable wit releasing anything at the time. It wouldn’t be until late 2010 when Crise joined “Elite Artist Mgmt”, “they strictly focused on me, and pushed me as an artist”. Crise started to record what would become “RELOADED”, After every song the he made, the E.A.M team couldn’t find one glitch in this opus, so all that was recorded WAS USED. Crise began performing through out the city and also in other cities getting tremendous reviews.
Fast forward to march 15, 2011, “RELOADED” is released and fans went crazy. “I knew if I kept my grind up, the people would take notice”. Does this sound like a person who can exist with failure? Witness the prominence for your self; you will not be let down. Please do not for one minute think that this Bio ends here. Crise is guaranteed to progress as an artist as the time passes. Who Is @djinstynctz ?
COMPLEX….STRONG MINDED….DEDICATED….STUDENT....SELF MADE.….THESE ARE ONLY A FEW WORDS THAT CAPTURE THE ESSENCE OF DJ INSTYNCTZ’S CHARACTER.
DJ Instynctz was raised in the North East Bronx section of New York City in the borough where Hip Hop originated, and still resides. Influenced by the sounds and styles of urban life, combined with the curiosity to explore his older brother’s vinyl records he soon became enthralled with Hip Hop. Those records along with one old turntable allowed the young Instynctz to mimic what he saw on T.V. and music videos. Along with the images of graffiti on the building walls, trains, lamp posts, billboards, etc, break dancers spinning on cardboard boxes, and the sounds of beats on the street driving daily life was the perfect environment to breed artistic creativity.
After much practice on ONE belt drive turntable and a short lived rap career, Instynctz was ready to take his skills to the public. Purchasing his first set of Technics 1200’s and a mixer, the arsenal was now complete. When he first stepped on the scene, he was known as DJ IIISixty (360) the name under which he dropped numerous street mixtapes dating back to the late 90s. Mastering the art of blending, (combining instrumentals and acapellas in the effort to produce a brand new song) he dropped the “Killer Blendz” mixtape series, which was distributed throughout the five boroughs - Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and Staten Island. Going back and forth from shop to shop distributing CDs and collecting money is where his work ethic and business mentality for music derived from.
After a couple of life changes, Instynctz (or IIISixty as he was then known) took some time off from dj’ing to reflect and become an observer/listener. He then reemerged and reinvented himself as DJ Instynctz. In his reintroduction, he quickly took to the club scene, at the same time realizing where his true passion was - he began doing his research on the underground and unsigned hip-hop scene. Taking note that underground artists were not getting enough radio play and exposure he took the opportunity and joined www.AllCityRadioNYC.com creating the “Monday Nite Mixtape” to support the Indie artist by spinning underground hip-hop. All City Radio was only the beginning to Instynctz’s arrival. He then began to get booked at a variety of clubs and showcases and was eventually recruited by Mix1620.com where he created yet another program for the Indie artists, named “Street Khemistry”.
DJ Instynctz is one of the next dj’s to watch hailing out of New York. Instynctz can be found energizing the booth at a club with his diverse arsenal of genres, making the airwaves sizzle or creating a quality mixtape at any given time. Instynctz has spun at spots throughout the East Coast holding the turntables down at the W Hotels, Martini Lounge, Don Hill’s, SOB’s, Iguana’s, Bar 51 and Retreat, among others, as well as plenty of private events. He has collaborated with numerous artists in the industry and still remains humble, dedicated and determined. He not only hopes to grow as an artist at his craft, but is also determined to share the energy and feeling he puts into his work. He recently released the “Pass the Torch” mixtape featuring new music from Triple C’s own Torch, “Pass the Torch 2: Grey’s Anatomy” featuring Specialyst Entertainment’s own Smoke Grey, True Sun Ali’s Be the Best mixtape as well as several “Microphone Bully” mixtapes. He also has several of his own projects in the works including the “Street Khemistry” Mixtape series.

It's hard to find any avenues of the music industry that aren't
already heavily saturated with competition. Music video directors are
no different. The days of flashy clothing-infused videos and neon
lights has faded to black, in the glow of more creative concepts and
intriguing storytellers. The movie director is the visual storyteller.
Jason Marrero, better known as the Bronx native Jay Onez, finds
himself as an instrumental up and comer in the realm of music video
directors. His work includes both signed and unsigned artists like
Mysonne, Oun-P, Fred The GodSon, Rsonist of The Heatmakerz, Divine of
the Dey, M1 of Dead Prez, Sadat X, Large Amount (D-BLOCK) Ques, and
many others. His portfolio grows, as is his thirst for knowledge
within his craft. There's the essence of an eager student in Jay Onez
conversation and style. Talented enough to direct for reputable names,
yet humble enough to study the work of those before him, Jay is well
on his way to becoming a master. Self-taught, his interest and talent
is developing naturally. The organic feel of his work is noticeable
through his self-described guerilla filmmaking. Modern and edgy, his
work matures as he does. Jay's videos have a cohesive feel. This is
credited to him playing the role of Editor in conjunction with
Director. As a kid, Jay Onez grew up around an appreciation for music
with the influences of his father and uncle, both of whom were DJs.
Their roots in music stemmed from Jay's grandfather, a guitar player
and singer. Jay went from a twelve year old rapper, to a twelve year
old film director. His love for music transferred to a camera while
recruiting friends to develop a short film as an adolescent.
Ironically, rapping took precedence. With age, the idea of the 'real
world' kicked in, which led Jay Onez into a job engineering in studios
and other avenues. During this time his camera laid on the shelf for a
few years. Through networking, self-realization, and New York's
atmosphere, years later, he picked the camera back up and has been
shooting ever since.
