Smokes AKA Mr. Asian Pride Returns With New Music And Major Tour

For Immediate Release: Rap Renegade Smokes AKA Mr. Asian Pride Hits Hard With New Music And A Major National Tour After A Series of Devastating Setbacks.

Gold is molded in the Fire and Greatness is molded in the furnace of adversity. Sometimes life's hard lessons can teach us to be triumphant when obstacles are placed in our path.

That appears to be the case for Midwest Hip Hop Titan Smokes AKA Mr. Asian Pride. Smokes is on the brink of embarking on a major national tour after experiencing a series of personal setbacks.

"Sometimes it seems like every time you try to do something positive, the forces of negativity seek to engulf you. But I just Keep the faith," proclaims the rapper.

Smokes is an Asian American rapper from Wisconsin. The electrifying MC is a witty, multi-talented, and passion-filled  rising star in the world of Rap music. Smokes has been featured in XXL magazine, the Source online, OnSmash.com, All Hip Hop.com, VladTV, Yo Raps.com, Sirius/XM Satellite Radio and more. He has collaborated with such renowned artists as Three 6 Mafia, Joell Ortiz, Tone Trump and Young Joc just to name a few.

Moreover, Smokes won the "Outstanding Artist of The Year" award at the prestigious 8th Annual Underground Music Awards and he has shared the stage with artists such as Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Kardinal Official, Asher Roth, Three 6 Mafia, Joell Ortiz, Diggy Simmons, Tone Trump and many more.

However over the past several months Smokes has been hit with a myriad of devastating losses.

In March 2011 Smokes' father passed away from an ongoing fight with Alcohol related diseases. Smokes had been helping him since 2007 and he was there with his dad in his father's last moments. If that wasn't enough, Smokes' Brother was facing a life sentence in prison. He received a sentence of several years, but luckily not for life.

Additionally, a very close friend of Smokes tried to commit suicide. Smokes and others got him to the hospital just in time.

And lastly in August 2011 Smokes' renowned recording studio was raided and shut down.  Agents confiscated computers, hard drives, and videos that held all the work that Smokes planned on releasing this fall.

"The last several months have been horrible. I had to do a lot of soul searching. But strength grows out of struggle. Overcoming hardship builds great character. And I'm determined to persevere," raves the MC.

Smokes is back recording and working on a new project with new music. He's also working on new videos. And he's going on a major tour this Fall with Jackie Chain and the Yellow Boyz. The tour dates can be found on www.Facebook.com/AsianHipHopSummit.

Smokes is focused and ready to make a major impact in the fourth quarter of 2011 and in the first quarter of 2012.

"I've developed a GRATITUDE ATTITUDE. I'm thankful for the things that I do have. My goal is to aspire to inspire by pursuing excellence. I want to inspire my friends and my fans," proclaims smokes.

The one constant thing in life is change and how we react to change determines whether we grow or stagnate.  Sometimes a major setback is a major opportunity for us to reinvent ourselves.

Smokes has defied the odds and he has kept the faith. Be on the look out for dynamic new music and videos from this Hip Hop renegade. And be sure to catch Smokes' explosive live performances on his upcoming national tour.
